It all started with a cookie at Hamleys in London. Sarah was 9 years old, the cookie was soft and perfect, and she thought about it for years afterwards. When she went back to London thirteen years later on her own cookie safari, she returned to Hamleys to find it, only to discover it was gone. So she decided to make her own.

During the first lockdown, Sarah taught herself to bake at home, sharing her creations on her Instagram food page, SOS I'm Hungry. Her younger brother Ronan and his very lucky friends were her first taste testers, and in December 2020, SOS Cookies was born in Limerick. With a background in product development and a Master's in Food Innovation and Insights with Bord Bia, Sarah set out to create the cookies she always wanted to eat: soft baked and packed with her favourite chocolates, from Nutella to Kinder and beyond.

What started in Sarah's kitchen has grown into shops around Ireland, a network of stockists, and our online store, bringing SOS Cookies to more people than we ever imagined. We're so excited to see where the journey goes next, and we're grateful to every one of you for being part of it. Welcome to the SOS Cookies family!
